Musician Collaboratives

"Bradley was a true joy to work with from beginning to end. Professional, great communication, super collaborative, and ultimately delivered photos that I absolutely LOVE and will take my music press kit to the next level. I was immediately comfortable in his presence which totally set the tone for our day and is evident in the photos. Bradley is a unique and special photographer and a great person to boot, will absolutely recommend Giant Eye to friends without hesitation."

For what it's worth, working with musicians is one of my favorite creative collaborations I've had the opportunity to take part in. There is something special about a photograph built by multiple creatives.

The collaboration often starts with a necessity: an album cover, a press kit, or advertising material for an upcoming show. I keep this necessity in mind during the session to ensure that we create captivating, unique, and emotive photographs that can easily be used as advertisements either online or in print. My goal is to provide an assortment of vertical and horizontal imagery that can easily be updated with overlaid text (show times/location/etc.) to be used time and again.

I love that most sessions I have done with musicians and bands tend to follow a theme or story that guides us into making captivating material. I look forward to talking with you about locations and a story we can fall into.

A good prop can be a key contributor to a more conceptual and styled shoot. When photographing musicians, I like to draw from the character of their instruments to help elicit the vibe. The photograph on the right is a solid example of this.

Landscape Portraiture is when the subject of each photograph occupies 10-20% of the space, which can be a great component when adding text to advertise shows. It isn't as up close and personal as with standard portraits, but it offers a bit more context and a story to the overall location and/or package as a whole. The photograph to the left is a great example of a powerful Landscape Portraiture.

The session pricing below will give you a rough outline of the kinds of shoots I do and what you can expect from them in return. I have many more examples of style and feel under Picture Maker and Series.

"Bradley Cox is one of the most brilliant photographers of our time. I have had the pleasure of shooting with him on multiple occasions and I've been beyond satisfied with each of these sessions. Artists and musicians recognize the importance of having a set of pictures that represent them in their most genuine expression. Giant Eye Photography provides just that! I have found myself using the images I have taken with Bradley for many of my projects, press kits, album covers, and festival bios. In addition to his incredible photography skills, Bradley is just a joy to shoot with. He is funny, friendly, and is acutely attuned to the state of his client, which leads to a very strong creative rapport. 5 sparkly stars for sure!!!"
